INFO

The Q’enosso project “Tea in the Calderas” is an innovative idea that uses the natural hot and carbonated sources of São Miguel Island in the Azores. The aim is to create a unique concept of tea made on the spot, using tea from the Azores and mineral water from six mineral water points monitored in the Fogo Volcano region: Lombadas, Lombadas “doce” and Lombadas furo I, Caldeira da Ribeira Grande Férrea or “Pocinha”, Caldeira Velha Fumarola and Caldeira Velha Nascente.

The project not only promotes the natural hot springs of São Miguel Island, but also the local culture of Azorean tea. Visitors and locals will be able to enjoy a unique drink that combines the island’s natural characteristics with locally produced high-quality tea.

Furthermore, “Tea in the Calderas” will also explore the immaterial component of the local culture through the organization of events and tea-tasting experiences. Visitors will be able to learn about the history of Azorean tea and its associated culture while enjoying the unique drink made from natural hot springs on the island.
